1. Within Outlook Express, choose the Tools
| Accounts option from the main menu.
When the Internet Accounts dialog appears,
click the Add -> News... option. Once the Internet Connection Wizard
is launched, enter the News (NNTP) server
address and check the option for My news server
requires me to log on.

2. Next enter your Newsguy username for
the Account name setting, and your selected
Newsguy password in its appropriate field. You may
check the Remember password option if you
would prefer to do that. Please leave other options
(e.g. SPA) unchecked.

3.The last step would display a confirmation
screen and would click the Finish button when
you were ready to retrieve the newsgroups list.

4. When prompted you can select the option to
get the full newsgroup list from Newsguy. Click Yes
to do this. Once
retrieved you can select your subscribed groups.

Tip #1: If you need to configure Newsguy's
alternate NNTP Port#, that can be modified by selecting the Tools |
Accounts menu option, and choosing the News
tab. Next highlight your Newsguy configuration
from the list and click the Properties
button. Once the properties dialog appears, click
the Advanced tab. Newsguy's default NNTP) Port# is
119 and the alternate is 8080
Tip #2: Within the same area as above (Tip
#1), you can adjust the Server Timeouts
setting. This may be useful if you are downloading
large binaries files and need to allot more time for
Outlook Express to complete its download tasks.
